Compliance Officer - Hong Kong

Description

We are looking to recruit an additional team player to join our Accounts Team.
Responsibilities



* To oversee and perform new client matter compliance, including internal procedure checks and reviews, conflict checks, engagement letters, and appropriate client database updates.
* To oversee and perform matter-closing compliance, including internal procedure checks and reviews, put away formalities, archiving, and eventual record destruction as appropriate, and client database updates.
* To ensure that the firm's operations meet with all client-related regulatory requirements and industry guidelines/practices.
* To formulate and maintain compliance policies and procedures going forward.
* To provide advice and support to the firm's management teams as and when necessary.

Requirements

* Dynamic person with good interpersonal skill and able to work with all levels of staff.
* Organized, detail-oriented, persistent and highly tolerant of complex organization structure.
* Familiar with HK legal regulatory and AML/KYC requirements.
* University graduate in Law, Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
* Minimum 1 years' relevant work experience, preferably in legal services industry.
* Excellent written and oral communications skills in English and Cantonese, Mandarin will be advantageous. We also welcome application from solicitors who wish to move to a support role.
