Hong Kong - Corporate Associate Part Time

Responsibilities

The applicant will work closely with the Firm’s founder, John Gale, on a wide range of advisory and transactional matters. The work involves a board range of commercial and corporate advice, including M&A, and advising listed companies of transactions and continuing compliance.

The Firm does not do IPOs.

Requirements

Languages: Fluent English and Cantonese. Written Chinese. Putonghua is useful, but not essential.


Legal skills:

1. Experience of a wide range of corporate and commercial advice and transactions
2. Thorough understanding of Hong Kong Listing Rules and Takeover Code
3. Good drafting skills. Must like drafting, be resourceful in finding and adapting precedents, and be comfortable to draft free hand
4. Good legal research skills, including online

Other skills:

5. Efficient and dependable

Hong Kong - Associates (Commercial Litigation)

We are seeking two Commercial Litigation lawyers to join our growing practice. Our practice is broad, covering areas such as general commercial litigation, PRC commercial disputes, shipping, and insurance.
Requirements

* 1 to 4 years' PQE with Commercial Litigation experience at a large firm;
* Highly motivated team players with good attention to details;
* Strong client focus;
* Fluent written and spoken English is required; ideally with Cantonese proficiency.
* Knowledge in Mandarin will be advantageous.
