Responsibilities
Legal –
1. Drafting, preparing, reviewing and commenting legal documents for the Group
2. Providing general legal advice to the Group
3. Providing ad hoc legal research, liaise with regulators and service providers
4. Co-ordinate and manage relationships with external lawyers
5. Updating relevant laws and regulations relating to the business of the Company
6. Maintaining corporate records and filings
7. Managing all trademarks and intellectual property for the Group
8. Maintain shareholder and investor register, prepare relevant documentation and liaise with investors and ensure compliance with periodic reporting and disclosure requirements
9. Monitor and review internal compliance reports, regulatory filings and legal documents (such as employee/vendor/client/product documents) with a view to promoting and maintaining an effective system of risk management in the Group
Compliance –
1. Perform compliance checking and review across the Group offices and identify proper actions for improvement where necessary
2. Formulate compliance policies and monitoring programs on various products and services
3. Advise management on compliance issues and potential impact and provide compliance training to staff
4. Develop operation manuals and workflow for all departments within the Group
Requirements
1. Degree Holder of Law Discipline
2. UK or Hong Kong qualified solicitor
3. Minimum 5 years of post-qualification legal experience in law firms or as in-house counsel for financial institutions
4. Able to work independently and have good negotiation, presentation and analytical skills
5. Self-motivated and result-oriented, able to work with all levels of people in the organization
6. Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese
7. Immediately available is preferable
