At a high level, the AML group covers all aspects of the AML Programme for Asia Pacific including, but not limited to:
* AML Policy & Procedure for Asia Pacific
* Advisory re AML Policy/Procedure
* High Risk Client Reviews
* PEP Reviews
* Client Screening (OFAC/RDC)
* Payment Screening
* Suspicious Transaction Surveillance & Reporting
* OFAC/Sanctions Issues
* Client reviews/enquiries
* Reports & Statistics (Local & Global)
* Training
* Sensitive Client Reviews
* Thematic Reviews (e.g. China clients, PWM India etc.)
* Review & Documenting of AML Group Procedures
The role will report to the Deputy Head of Asia Pacific AML Group, located in Hong Kong.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Client reviews, e.g. the investigation and analysis of the client base to identify and manage high risk clients, or specific country reviews.
* Delivery of AML training.
* Management and review of day-to-day account opening issues, approval of high risk clients, waivers etc.
* Investigation and escalation of transaction monitoring alerts and queries.
* Review and approval of payment exceptions generated through the monitoring of client payments.
* Advising on, and resolving any AML issues.
* Assisting in the drafting and filing of suspicious transaction reports.
* Assisting in the monitoring of regulatory developments, drafting and implementing of AML policy and procedure, and participation in AML projects.
Requirements
* Degree
* 3 years + experience in Anti Money Laundering / Due Diligence related role
* Some previous experience in AML/Due diligence in a Securities environment
* Strong English (oral and written)
* Proactive and able to work independently
* Analytical and detail oriented
* Strong relationship management skills
Skills Desired
* Some knowledge of the Securities Business and related AML compliance practices
