Responsibilities

Reporting to: Regional Marketing Director - Asia

* Producing strategic client proposals, credentials statements and advising partners in relation to regionwide bids or presentations.
* Researching and analysing client information and compilation and preparation of client plans, reports;
* Helping to produce other materials to support client development activities and/or proposals including power point presentations, flyers etc.
* Working closely with the Regional Marketing Director to ensuring the region's pitching processes and guidelines are being adhered to by regional team members. This might involve: updating standard clauses and templates used across the region; supervising the pitch monitoring system for the Asia region; providing recommendations and ideas as to how the pitch process, approach and style can be improved; participating in meetings with international colleagues across our US and EMEA regions to discuss strategic global bids; be a key contact point for international pitches that require Asia-based content; preparing a monthly report for the Regional Director of Marketing/Regional Managing Partner in relation to Asia's overall pitch activities.
* Assist in the preparation and content for inclusion of the company into all directory listings, league tables and other publications under the direction of the Marketing Communications and Regional Marketing Director - Asia.

Requirements

* Marketing degree and/or suitable business qualification with at least 4 years' practical experience in a Business Development role;
* Experience in a Professional services environment (essential);
* Exceptional command of written and spoken English;
* Attention to detail in all aspects of the role;
* Well motivated, emotionally capable person who can work effectively with senior personnel;

Singapore - Paralegal (6 months contract)

Description

As part of the Wealth Management legal department in Singapore, you will perform the role of a Paralegal in the Wealth Management legal department in Singapore. The team is tasked with providing a complete suite of legal services to the wealth management business in Singapore. You will assist in banking issues (including account documentation, contentious matters and security-taking matters) as well as provide general complaints administrative support.
Responsibilities

* Assisting on matters relating to general banking and account-related issues (including account documentation and security-taking matters)
* Assisting to review or draft standard and non-standard account documents and client correspondence
* Providing general advice, documentation and other support for contentious and litigious matters including general queries on client complaints and litigation, fielding general questions on applicable policies, guidelines and practices, listening to / transcribing interview transcripts or phone records as necessary, generating periodic reports, data and statistics on client complaints
* Providing legal advice on general queries from the Markets on banking or account-related issues as well as questions relating to products and services as well as standard bank procedures, guidelines and policies

Requirements

Our ideal candidate should have the following requisites:

* A degree or diploma in Law from a tertiary institution in Singapore or the equivalent qualification from another common law jurisdiction
* Prior working experience in a financial institution, multi-national company or law firm
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to communicate well in written and spoken English; ability to read/write in a language other than English will be a plus

Singapore - Regional Legal Counsel, Asia Pacific

Description

The Regional Legal Counsel will be located in Singapore and will be exposed to a wide range of legal work supporting the Adobe offices in the Asia Pacific region, which includes Korea, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, India, Australia, New Zealand and South-East Asia.

Responsibilities

* Work on revenue deals such as distributor and reseller relationships, ISV transactions, Software as a Service/hosting transactions, OEM licenses and enterprise software agreements.
* Mediate/Negotiate with customer's Counsel to address licensing issues. Act as an escalation path for licensing concerns and increase the efficiency of compliance audits.
* Work on all legal aspects relating to marketing activities in the region, including reviewing promotions and contests, and ensuring that marketing activities are carried out in accordance with local fair trade and consumer protection laws.
* Provide support to the procurement team and handle escalations relating to contracts with Adobe vendors.
* Provide training and/or guidance to sales, marketing and other relevant parties with respect to Adobe’s corporate policies, legal processes and local laws.
* Oversee Asia-Pacific Anti-Piracy enforcement and license compliance programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and with Adobe's Anti-Piracy corporate policies and procedures. This involves close management of all IPR administrative actions including developing and managing self audit letters and warning letters as part of a consistent enforcement campaign for the region.
* Manage criminal prosecutions and civil and administrative actions with local authorities and with the trade association(s) like the Business Software Alliance (BSA), their members, and their counsel. This involves evidence analysis, and close cooperation with the corporate Anti-Piracy enforcement team. Efficiently manage the POA requests and clearance requests, which include gathering data on each of the targets and coming to a decision about whether to proceed with an enforcement action. Work closely with Adobe's corporate Anti-Piracy legal teams to ensure that the criteria used in Asia / Pacific for target clearances are consistent with Adobe's established practices. Review court documents, statements, affidavits, settlement agreements and other documents related to enforcement activities.
* Bring key regional legal knowledge and expertise including regional variations to intellectual property law to the company and manage interactions with outside counsel in the different countries.
* Track Anti-Piracy developments in the Asia / Pacific region, particularly based on the data reported by the Business Software Alliance (BSA).
* Perform other Legal duties as directed.

From time to time, the Regional Legal Counsel will also be exposed to the following areas of work:

* Provide regional legal support to the corporate Human Resources Counsel. This includes assisting in implementing HR policies and processes from a contractual perspective, ensuring that HR policies and processes are in compliance with local labour laws and managing any employment disputes that may arise.
* Work closely with the Internal Audit and Compliance functions to handle all legal escalations relating to internal audits and compliance issues. Work with all key stakeholders to develop strategies and processes to resolve any compliance issues found.
* Work with corporate litigation counsel to manage any disputes or litigation that arises in the Asia Pacific region.

Requirements

Preferred Experience

* Admitted as an advocate and solicitor in Singapore or qualified in another Commonwealth jurisdiction, with a minimum of 4 years of post-qualification experience.
* Copyright-related and litigation experience required.
* Experience in the software industry or knowledge of software industry practices is a plus.
