In-House corporate looking for Head of Legal in Hong Kong

Founded in 1942, the company has evolved from 1 watch shop into a conglomerate of 8 different business operations that include watch and jewellery, property investment and development, financial services, entertainment, hospitality, media and publishing, home furniture and catering services. Due to the Group’s upcoming expansion, we need new talents to join our team.
Responsibilities

* Provide legal counsel and guidance on the ordinary and special activities of the Group and its subsidiaries
* Work closely with key senior management on policy deliberations
* Oversees the legal function including but not limited to general corporate, commercial contracts and agreements, corporate acquisitions and disposals and regulatory affairs
* Handle disputes and deal with legal claims and litigations with internal and external parties
* Lead the Legal and Secretarial team

Requirements

* Qualified lawyer with at least 15 years experience in corporate and commercial legal matters
* Prior experience in sizable or listed companies is preferred
* Proven track record in leading the legal team
* Ability to work effectively with all level of people
* Good business acumen, strong analytical judgment and sense of responsibility
* Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese including Putonghua
